About CAITR 2015

Welcome message from the conference chair, Associate Professor Russell Thompson, Department of Infrastructure Engineering, University of Melbourne.

Dear Colleagues,

It is a pleasure to welcome you to Melbourne for the 35th CAITR.

The Annual Conference of Australian Institutes of Transport Research CAITR) draws participants from around Australia.

CAITR is a low cost conference which aims to maximise the opportunity for transport researchers to discuss their work with peers and colleagues in a supportive, informal environment and to be part of a network of expertise. CAITR is particularly valuable to recent researchers (PhDs, Masters and Undergraduates by research), giving them the chance to present work in progress, receive constructive feedback and improve presentation skills.

This year’s CAITR will be held on 12th and 13th February 2015 and is being held at University of Melbourne.

Researchers will be able to make an oral presentation at the conference.

This is the 35th conference which began at Monash University in 1979. It was commenced by the late Dr Rod Vaughan and Professor Tony Richardson. It will be our pleasure to welcome Professor Richardson to this unique transport conference which will be a celebration of transport research in Australia.

I look forward to meeting you in Melbourne in February 2015.
